Competent instruction and safe equipment are the most important pre-requisites to learning to fly safely. Our base is at Verbier, one of the Alps premier off-piste resorts and justifiably one of the most beautiful ski locations in Europe, sitting with awesome views of Mont Blanc to the west and Matterhorn to the east. Here amid the frosted mountains and lush river valleys you will live in warm wooden chalets that overlook the hills and mountains where you will learn to paraglide and learn to teach paragliding. The two months you will spend here will take you on a paragliding adventure, beginning on the slopes of gentle hills and progressing to the slopes of far greater heights from which you will ascend the rising airs on tremendous cross country flights. You will complete the BHPA (British Hang-Gliding and Paragliding Association) Pilots License enabling you to fly anywhere in the world and your internationally recognised Level One Swiss Instructors License enabling you to teach anywhere in the world. Flying sites support a fantastic network of paragliding enthusiasts, creating a tremendously social environment of people who each raise their canopies for one of the most breathtaking experiences available today. You will gain the qualifications and experience that enable you to actively thrive in this network of paragliders, by being able to fly yourself and by being able to help wannabe paragliders to learn to soar. During our course we will have five hours of French lessons each week, which will not only give you language skills to communicate with fellow paragliders and local residents, but will also prove invaluable if you are considering working in the Alps in future.
